Egads -- it's September already! Fall, of all things. In a few months it'll be the year 2001 -- which will render the *20th vs. 21st* century debate moot. I'm sooo ready for my Fall clothes -- I dearly want to retire my sandals, shorts, and capri pants until next Spring. I badly want to wear my leather jackets (11 at last count), my cool pea coats (yes, I do live in San Diego. Yes, that's Southern California. As in south of Los Angeles. Yes, we do have mostly 70 degree weather. But you really wouldn't want to live here. No, you wouldn't. Earthquakes, y'know?). I want to wear my platform oxfords and my boots... Sigh. I'm just not a tank-top kind of gal.
I picked up two books on Paint Shop Pro 6 today. I've been noodling around with the program off and on since last week. I decided it was time to buy a step-by-step manual. I bought Paint Shop Pro - Visual Insight, by Ramona and Joshua Pruitt and Paint Shop Pro 6 Web Techniques, by T. Michael Clark. The second book looks very interesting -- it's on thick, glossy paper, in color, with oodles of web illustrations, along with detailed instructions on how to create them. I also like the writing style of both books -- conversational yet concise. I'm going to have a lot of fun playing around with PSP and these books -- and of course, it'll definitely help me to understand Photoshop.
My classes begin on Wednesday, September 6. I'm anxious, excited, wired. I'll be glad when I'm all settled in, have my books, etc. It'll be interesting to scope out my fellow classmates. I'll guess it'll be combination of both beginners and intermediates in each class. I'm still hoping I can somehow get into that web certification class though...
Well, it's slim-pickings, journal-wise. I suppose that once I begin classes, I'll have more to write about. I'll telling ya, I lead such an exciting life. I just can't stand it. Oh my.
