You know, I'd forgotten that yesterday was St. Patrick's day. That is, I kept forgetting it was St. Patty's Day. I was sitting in the movie theatre on Saturday, watching people mill in and spotted a guy wearing shamrock deely-bobbers on his head. (Lucky for me, he didn't take the seat in front of me.) So I thought, "Oh yeah -- 'tis the 17th! St. Patrick's Day. Guess I'd better watch out for drunk drivers on the way home." Then we went to Uno's in Pacific Beach for pizza -- the place was packed. Again: "Oh yeah -- 'tis the 17th! St. Patrick's Day. Guess I'd better watch out for drunk drivers on the way home."

Since I'm not the party animal I once was (oh so many eons ago), I'm not especially mindful of party-hearty holidays. I almost forgot about Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras -- and St. Valentines I could care less about. Oh well.

I spotted a limosine-bus (yes: a limosine-bus) yesterday with handmade signs taped on the sides: "Got beer?"; "Don't worry -- we're not drunk. Yet." Must be Spring Break, too.

Since it's late in the evening and I've run out of steam, here are some 'toons I created in Photoshop recently:

Our Prez-Select Smirk seems to think that carbon dioxide does not contribute to global-warming (according to Republicans, there's no such thing) or pollutes in any way. He seems to think that carbon dioxide is produced only by mammals exhaling ("What are we supposed to do? Stop breathing." Har. Har. Hardy-har.)

So, say bye-bye to the Clean Air and Water Act. Yup, it's just Dumbya making good on campaign promises bought and paid for by the oil companies -- his best buddies (next to the NRA) and biggest contributors (next to the NRA). Hey, they paid good money to sink that Japanese fishing boat, y'know.

Here's an "oldie" that I submitted to Bartcop.com whilst Smirk was choosing his old-guard cabinet. I believe that Colin Powell was remarking that he's frightened of cattle (live ones, as opposed to a big juicy porterhouse sitting on his dinner plate, I would assume). You can see that the picture was just begging to be manipulated in Photoshop.

Gee, I think I'd like to read that last one again...
